The 'Duplex' lamp

The Duplex lamp was one of the most common oil lamps used in Britain and was manufactured right up until the 1980's. Often these modern lamps are sold as 'Victorian' or 'Antique, we have a selection of lamps for sale pictured below.
All are exactly as described but to conform with current regulations are offered for decoration only. All lamps are unrestored, 'one only' and will be sold as pictured with new wicks.

Lamp #1
Ceramic founted lamp complete with opal shade and oval chimney. The brass foot has some tarnishing to the laquer but will polish up well. The base is an interesting model with a brass filler cap and probably dates from the early 1930's. The later burner is unused and marked 'Duplex made in England'.

Lamp #102
Brass founted lamp complete with opal shade and round chimney. This lamp has an interesting shaped fount and probably dates from the 1970's.

Glass founted lamp complete with opal shade, brass carrier and oval chimney. This very original lamp probably dates from the 1930's.
The quality burner is marked 'Duplex' on the black ceramic winder knob inserts.

Brass founted lamp on a short column complete with coloured shade and round chimney. The burner is marked 'Duplex made in England' and probably dates from the early 1960's.
