General News :-
Fuel for paraffin heaters:- Many of our customers have reported problems in obtaining quality paraffin for their wick lamps and heaters. We have sourced and tested a quality blue fuel called Paraffin Extra. This fuel is of the very best quality and burns hot and clean with little odour, wicks do not 'crust' and the burner remains clean.
Available in boxes of  four 4 ltr containers or a 20 litre plastic drum we can offer delivery anywhere in England and Wales on the Mainland. Our carrier can deliver the 20litre drum to Scotland at extra cost, click here for details
 
We are catching up on the backlog of orders but delivery time is around 10 working days at present. It will be a little while before we can get back to our usual three days turnaround. 
Our answer phone gets constantly blocked with messages, please browse the Website before calling as you may find your answer there. We receive so many calls asking 'I have looked at your Website, do you sell Tilley or Primus parts?'.....!

Remember to keep spares handy for emergencies, we still have customers who phone an order on a Wednesday when they are going away on a Saturday...! Order your spares now, don't wait until the last minute and expect the parts by the next day...!
Please check our opening hours before trying to contact us, the answer phone also gets jammed full of empty messages when callers hang up after calling when we are out of the office.

We are continuing to work on our 'Shopping Cart' site which will make the whole process of ordering easier but is an enormous task with our thousands of parts. We receive so many enquiries for leather pump washers for all kinds of items such as sprayers and vintage car tyre pumps we have created a page for a general range of leather cups up to 3" diameter. We have also sourced a good quality cup for the Victorian & reproduction cast iron water pumps. These fit the standard 2" carrier on the 3" bore pumps. Click here to browse.
Each week we have been getting calls from customers who have bought a quantity of leather cups on e-Bay only to find they do not fit their lamp or stove. Our Specialised cups are hand made in the UK to fit particular stoves or lanterns, believe us, one cup will not fit all....!

We have a quantity of 'Fusilier' lighter flints suitable for mechanical ignition on Acetylene, wick and old gas lamps. Size approx. 1/8" dia x 3/8", these are 20p each while stocks last
Books:-
'Discovering Oil Lamps' by the late Cecil Meadows is a great introduction to 'lampin' and a gem of reference for wick lamp enthusiasts, see Books link.

New Lamps for sale:-
The Firefly combination candle or wick oil lamp for camping and hiking has been discontinued. We have a few remaining in black at £12.95.

Tilley:-
We have a small number of original instruction leaflets 'Tilley lamps..and how to use them'. These feature the PL53 and date from the late 1930's, limited to one per customer at £4.00 each.

We have very small stocks of the following original parts, limited to one per customer. Two part plastic handle, R1 & R55; #1295 cast pivot, FL6; 1217 cast pivot, R51.
We have just a few pre-production samples of the KL 80 #671A reflector in bare steel rather than original white enamel. These are available at £25.00 each while stocks last.

Also in stock, a quantity of wicks for the Tilley 'Conomatic' blue flame heater.

Bialaddin/Vapalux:-
Rises in the price of brass and production costs have resulted in large increases on Vapalux & Bialaddin parts. Still manufactured in the UK to the highest standard these lamps and spares are still the best available.

Coleman:-
We do not major in Coleman lamps & stoves but we have a large range of Coleman stove and lamp spares.
New in stock is a small number of the excellent Coleman folding ovens at £59.95.

Magnalux/Hipolito/Petromax:-
Magnalux lanterns have been discontinued, we will continue to support the spares so there are no worries for existing owners.
The Petromax name and rights have been sold to new owners. The distribution system in place for the past forty years has collapsed so lamps and spares will be in short supply for the time being.
A number of customers have contacted us having purchased Anchor or Solar 500cp lanterns in the UK. These lamps do not conform to British Standards and there is not a spares back-up, although some of our spares will fit. Be careful in buying one of these lamps if you intend to use it regularly.

Primus pressure lamps:-
All Primus pressure lanterns were discontinued in 1962 and spares are hard to find. We have sourced some glass for the 1020, 1080 lantern and #6175 double ended mantles for the 1001,1014, 1015 lanterns. See the 'Mantles, glass & chimneys' page for details.

Paraffin Lamp Wicks, Chimneys, Heater Wicks & Heater spares:-

Wick stocks continue to grow, we now have wicks to cover popular Kerosun, Toyokuni and Toyoset imported heaters.
Rippingilles, Harper Beatrice wicks and some tubular oil lamp wicks are also in stock, ask if you are not sure. Our range of solid round wicks suit small decorative oil burners up to large restaurant food warmers..!

We have good stocks of most styles of our best quality oil lamps from Europe. However the falling pound and price increases in brass mean prices are fluctuating greatly. We have three new styles of lamp, a classic 'Pigeon' style lamp, one table model and one wall model. The wall model is based on the Swedish railway wall lamp from 1916 and is still made by the same company today.

Chimneys
We have commissioned a batch of glass chimneys for the GWR candle wall lamps. These chimneys are best quality heat resistant glass with glazed ends. Not to be confused with the thin 'window' glass found in some reproductions..!, click here for picture.
We are expecting delivery of our FAMOS pattern chimney for 120cp lamps and Superspeed in June, orders taken now..! This chimney is marked 'Incandescent English Make' and manufactured in best quality borosilicate glass. It will also fit other Incandescent lamps such as early Aladdin.. Click here for details
Other new stock includes the 30''' chimney, 3" x 12 3/4" for Lampe Veritas and Belge. Another welcome chimney is the 2" x 10" Bulge slip which was out of stock for over two years..!
We now have good stocks of most Kosmos Chimneys, Matador chimneys plus the small Gem and Pixie glass. However other bulge slip and Duplex chimneys are still in short supply and deliveries will continue to be erratic in the foreseeable future.

Aladdin:-
Genuine 'Loxon' chimneys are back in stock, we have good stocks model 23 lamp parts and Kone Kap mantles.

Stove News :-
The T85 Nova Plus is a development of the popular T80 Nova stove. Now with wider, more stable legs/pan supports and 'Powerline' fuel delivery the stove has accurate simmering control. Click here for details
Now in stock is the T88, a development of the classic 111 series of stoves. Now based around a Nova technology burner the stove is lighter and more controllable. We have obtained the very latest version of this stove, make sure you are not offered the old type..!

Stove Spares:-
First some good news..! As we source more parts and our purchasing power grows we are reducing prices on stove spares. With raw material prices increasing this might show as a price drop or simply no increase. Every day we are looking for more parts for your stoves and lamps, watch these pages..!
We are commissioning a batch of 207b adjustable burners as fitted to the Optimus #7 or 5R and marine stoves such as Optimus, Tayors, Shipmate, Mariner & Patria. Production is now scheduled for July and the burner are likely to be in great demand. We are currently taking orders for burners to be delivered in August.
We have plenty of spare parts left in stock to service the burners.

We now have stock of the #5201 pump spring fitted to late Optimus & Primus 2 pint stoves and most British 2 pint stoves. This loose spring on the pump rod makes pumping smoother and prevents damage to the pump cap. Make sure your stove has one..!
Pictured above is the reproduction spirit can for the Primus 96 and 210. A faithful copy of the round tinned steel can with brass cap which came with every stove packed in a tin box everyone needs one of these, order yours now.!

Now in stock is the #2176 cast iron burner plate for the older Primus and Optimus #96 stoves. make sure you have a spare whilst stocks last..! Also back after a long absence is the #2572 spanner for 111,111b, 8 and 8R stoves.
Other recently added Classic Primus parts are the #4270 pilot lighter fitted to the #1 stoves, #4273 pilot lighter fitted to all the #5 stoves, #4561 set of legs for Primus #210, #4311 Primus #210 reserve 'plug' complete & #4331 washer for the 'plug' and #4467 washer for old Primus #71 small filler cap without air release.
Condrup were suppliers of pattern Primus parts, we have a small quantity of 'Con' brand, small steel silent burner caps at £1.50 to replace Primus part #4206/#4196,(stoves #4, #5jr & #34). Original #4196 brass caps are £5.00 each while stocks last
We have traced a small quantity of the old style tank lids for the #8, 22, 80, 111 style of stoves. These have a slotted pressure release instead of the newer hexagon key style, part #2044B
Available now is a small quantity of original #1 Swedish burners from the 1940's. These burners are unused but tarnished so will be ideal for a 'classic' stove without looking 'new'. While stocks last these burners are £14.00 each with flame spreader, part reference #'OLD1'.

For the military Burmos or SH & S, (Thermidor) 4906 pattern stoves we now have the red, pump to tank washer at 60p each & the washer for the filler cap mounted air release screw at 20p each. A small quantity of silent burner caps marked 'S.H&S 1943' is also available at £5.00 each.

We have good stocks of the excellent Trangia and Trangia Multifuel stove.

Latest addition here are the two 'Restorers pump tools' for removing the non-return valve on large and small stoves. These are made from stainless steel rod, machined to fit the valve and with a sliding 'T' bar. each tool is a sliding fit in the pump bore to prevent the tool from twisting off the valve and rounding the valve head. A 'must have' for any serious stove collector and restorer.
A superb classic accessory are the stove prickers from the 'Ideal Self Filling Stove Co.' These are original parts from the 1950's and consist of a brass tube containing hardened needles. A small brass cap unscrews to remove a needle and screws back to secure it. We have limited stocks, one per customer at £5.00 each, paper packets of spare needles, £2.00 each.
